MAS D’EN CAÇADOR

The Celler de l'Encastell winery is located in Porrera, a small town surrounded by vineyards in the middle of Priorat. It is a family winery where we have been making our own wines for more than 20 years; controlling and personally carrying out the entire production process.

We grow the vineyard on our farms “Mas d'en Caçador”, “Mas d'en Ferran” and “Els Arbres” on a slate soil and a contrasting climate that results in an exceptional grape with the characteristic character of these lands.

THE WINERY

In 1999, the reconstruction of an old “pairal” house began, which will be rehabilitated with functionality and modern winemaking technologies, to convert it into the new Celler del Encastell.

In 2010 we expanded with an upper floor, where We receive the grapes and vinify them. In the heart of the winery and against the bedrock of the mountain are the barrels – made of French Allier oak, from the best French cooperages – where our precious wines ferment and rest.
